Non-fluorinated hydrophobic & oleophobic surface modifier that creates a covalent bond that provides exceptional durability on hard & soft surfaces.


Overview

OCM™ is a non-fluorinated surface modifier product that can create an omniphobic surface that repels water and oil on hard and soft surfaces. OCM™ is a water-based chemistry that covalently binds to hard surfaces in an instantaneous reaction to exhibit water & oil repellency. This new chemistry is PFAS/PFOS-free and provides a sustainable replacement without the health, safety, and Environmental hazards of forever chemicals. With cationic character, it can be formulated with quats and non-ionics, mixing well with other shine agents and surface modifiers. OCM™ forms long-lasting bonds (on appropriate surfaces) and requires no special curing before application for surface modification and can produce highly omniphobic surfaces with contact angles as high as 108°, restore shine to the surface, and exhibit excellent lubricity.

Package & Handling

  • ***DI or RO water (<20 µS/cm) must be used in production. If not available, contact your sales rep for assistance. We recommend the use of Acticide MBS to preserve OCM™ formulations.
  • **Formulating tips : OCM™ is a microemulsion and therefore formulating requires some care.  In general, the best way to formulate with OCM™ is to add DI water first and then OCM™ to establish that emulsion.  Then add any other ingredients with mixing to finish the formula.  Contact your sales representative if there are any questions
  • OCM™ is available in 55 US gal plastic drums (Net wt 441 lbs) and 5 US gal pails (net wt 40 lbs)
